Overview

Amid the challenges of the 2020 Covid pandemic, I initiated a heartfelt campaign to support CORE Gives, a charitable organization providing relief to parents working in the food industry during these unprecedented times. Collaborating with Bayview Printing Company, we embarked on a mission to hand press limited-edition posters, sold exclusively at Dead Bird Brewing. The campaign not only raised $500 for CORE Gives but also brought together the local community in a collective effort to make a positive impact.

Collaboration with Bayview Printing Company

Collaborating with Bayview Printing Company allowed us to bring a tactile and authentic quality to the posters. I chose the letterpress technique to instill a handmade and artisanal feel, aligning with the spirit of community-driven support. The tactile impressions on each poster not only enhanced the visual appeal but also served as a reminder of the human touch behind the charitable initiative.

Limited Edition Production

To create a sense of exclusivity and urgency, we decided to produce a limited run of hand-pressed posters. Each poster was meticulously printed, numbered, and signed, making it a unique and collectible piece. The limited edition aspect not only drove interest but also encouraged a sense of urgency and collection among supporters to contribute to the cause.

Sales & Distribution

Partnering with Dead Bird Brewing as a local hub for the campaign's distribution and sales provided a central and accessible location for the community to participate. The brewery not only acted as a point of sale but also as a gathering place, fostering conversations about the campaign and the shared goal of supporting CORE Gives.

Community Engagement

Beyond the financial contribution, the campaign aimed to engage the community in a meaningful way. Social media platforms were utilized to share the progress of the campaign, behind-the-scenes glimpses of the poster-making process, and stories of the impact CORE Gives was making. Community members could also purchase post cards to spread the message to and invite the engagement of friends and family members. This multi-faceted approach created a sense of connection and involvement among supporters.

Donation to CORE Gives

As the campaign concluded, the $500 raised through poster and post card sales was donated to CORE Gives. The donation served as a testament to the collective power of the community to make a positive impact even during challenging times. Acknowledgment of the donation was shared with the community, reinforcing the tangible result of their support.
